Brian1964Smith's Album: DAVE RAWLINGS MACHINE

In 2009, Dave Rawlings and Gillian Welch went on the road billing themselves as the Dave Rawlings Machine, which meant that Dave was taking over the lead vocal duties for a change. Eight months later, A Friend of a Friend was released. Since that time, the Machine has enjoyed an ever changing lineup of stellar musicians including Ketch Secor (fiddle), Morgan Jahnig (bass), Willie Watson (guitar), Paul Kowert (bass), John Paul Jones (mandolin), Brittany Haas (fiddle) and Tatiana Greaves (fiddle). In September of 2015, they released their follow-up album, Nashville Obsolete.
