Why It's Good News That I Have Cancer!

  Some of you know that I have cancer. Again. I am in the hospital about to begin chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia; I will have a stem cell transplant in Boston as soon as we find a donor match. Anyway, what does this have to do with Dave and Gill? You may be asking.
  
  Well, three years ago I had cancer; fall of 2010. While I was in the hospital it was music, as much as anything, that got me through. Anyway, it came to pass that H&H was released in the summer of 2011, and it was written and recorded almost entirely during the period of my treatment.
  
  Last week I had a dream that Gillian called me and said she was sorry to hear about the cancer, and would I like a new album? So, I take this all as a very positive sign that a new album should be on the way soon. I only hope I don't have to go through this every time
