Welch fan from the Netherlands

my name is Niels and I have been a Welch fan for several years now. My musical tastes are rather diverse. It goes from Velvet Underground to Renaissance polyphonic singing. Last year I met an old aquaintance who was in the process of forming a Gillian Welch tribute band. I have played the guitar longer than I care to remember but was never in a band. So I joined. It is a blast, I really love it. It is especially the singing, the harmonies, that make it so sweet and rewarding. Athough these days we have some songs by other artists in our repertoire, the Welch songs still stand out (as far as i am concerned :) )
