    sarahct I have a theory question. When he talk about Gill playing the open 5th with a 7th, I know what that means. But what does he mean when he says "you still have the 3rd of the chord"? Where's the 3rd if she's dropped it?

    Gumbo is that the bit where Dave says he's playing different chord over what Gill is playing so that her third is somewhere in his chord? - i can't find the spot right now .....

    sarahct I'll listen again. It's not the part about the low fifth and the undertones - that I get. Maybe that is what it is, Gumbo. I didn't think he really played chords, but I guess he means as a progression?
